I scheduled my visit so I would arrive Oct 14, 2011 in the morning. As that is Mtshketa Day, Not sure what the holiday is celebrating. One source said "Historic capital of Tbilisi Day" and a second one said "Mtskhetoba (the celebration of the day of Christ’s Robe) celebrated in Mtksheta Svetitskhoveli Cathedral while publicly the holiday is celebrated in Mtskheta’s streets and squares. Musical concerts, exhibitions and sport competitions take place throughout the day concluding with a Gala concert." Either way, no school that day and my sister can meet me at the airport. She figured I can find my own way back to the airport when I leave.
